Officials from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland reported that Air Force security guards exchanged gunfire with an individual who fired upon them twice at an entrance.

In a separate incident, security personnel at the base stated that they came under fire from a passing vehicle.
San Antonio Police Sgt. Washington Moscoso confirmed that security personnel reported hearing multiple gunshots fired at them at the entrance.
